VMware Infrastructure Client on Linux
Dear VMware,
Please release a version of the VMware Infrastructure Client for Linux.
(As a bonus the license server and VirtualCenter on Linux would make it complete)
I know you can do it, you proved it already with your ESX product.
My eternal respect will be your reward
Thanks,
Leo

The VMWare infrastructure client is literally the only app I use on windows, ironiclly enough on a XP VM on the Vmware Server install on my linux desktop, to manage a collection of Linux servers. I cannot believe that there isn’t one already.
So - I second the request.

A-bloody-men.. I was shocked when I realised this was the case, after having played with the FREE VMware Server under linux which has a console which works just fine..

I second that one or third it or whatever - makes no sense having a .net client to manage something based in linux - why would you do that honestly
A java client would be a much better way of providing client agnostic services.

4th’d. On my part. For class, to connect from home to do homework. I’d have to load windows in a vm, then load VIC inside the vm to load the vm’s i need to connect to.
I’m curious how much of a slow down that would be with 2gb ram.

I’m really disappointed that there is no Linux client for VMWare ESX 3i.
